Dala Horse by Nils Olsson
Young Swedish brothers Nils and Jannes Olsson began carving “dala” horses after school in 1928 to help earn money for their family. They were hand-carved and painted with a floral pattern that became a cultural icon in Sweden. Although a little has changed with the manufacturing process throughout the years, they are still mostly hand made giving each piece a unique character.
Each horse is measured from the ground to the tip of the ear.
